Aubergine collar for women

This aubergine collar is perfect for women, who love eggplant color and feeling of comfort. I make it by hand in nuno felting technique using only soft merino wool, silk fabric and decorative fibers. It gives the scarf a bit of other colors, like yellow and pink. It will also let you use this collar from autumn to spring with many types of clothing. This purple scarf is a neck wrap. If you wear it close to the neck, it will make you warm and cozy. Thanks to natural materials it won’t let you get cold, but also will not allow overheating.

To make this wrap scarf more feminine and attractive, I equipp it with a beautiful red flower brooch. Having it at hand, you will be able to pose the scarf precisely, but you can also pin it to other accessories. It’s up to you. Also, one edge of this aubergine collar is finished with a kind of felted lace. It gives the scarf a feminine and festive look. If you wear it with this edge up, it will highlight your face, and if you wear it the other way, the lace will decorate you collar bones. Both ways look really nice.

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to buy this purple neck warmer, starting with unique color, through beautiful design and ending with a free flower brooch. This can be a great start to your adventure with nuno felt accessories, so if you like this scarf, don’t hesitate and just make it yours!

Washing Instructions

How to care about felted handicraft

Merino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):

  • Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
  • Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
  • After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
  • Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
  • Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
  • If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

Superfine merino wool

Superfine merino wool is just perfect for fashion applications. With its delicacy, excellent thermal properties, strong fibers and antiallergic effect it is invaluable.

Felting Needles

Take a deep breath before you take it in your hand. With its hooked barbs felting needle is a smart and dangerous tool for tangling fibers in the most laborious possible way.

Wool yarn

Wool yarn – if shaggy enough – can be interweaved with merino fibers. Since it fits in perfectly with felt, it is one of our most favourite decorations.

Wet felting is just rubbing wool tops with your own hands. You better go to the gym and exercise your muscles before you start! Nothing can replace the strong arms.
