Beige tube scarf with marble texture
This beige tube scarf is a kind of lined neck warmer to use from autumn to spring. I make it by hand in nuno felting technique. It consists of two layers that are sewn together. One of them is a felted merino wool in light brown and the other one is nuno felted of wool and silk fabric. It is mostly beige, but has other colors as well and looks similar to a marble. The woolen layer makes the scarf warm and the layer with silk gives it a beautiful texture. As the wool shrinks during felting, silk becomes wonderfully wrinkled and looks just amazing.
After making two layers I cut them straight, put them together and sew one to the other. Then I join two ends of this marble scarf and give it a tubular shape. This way I get a luxury snood scarf that runs close to the neck and fits all sizes. Wearing it is pretty simple. You just put it through your head and you look exclusive without spending much time in front of a mirror. Wool and silk combined make the scarf cozy and breathable. Thanks to them, it will give you protection against wind and prevent overheating.
This beige tube scarf is perfect for women who prefer popular designs over spectacular look typical for most of felted scarves. It will be a great choice for you to start your adventure with nunofelt. Also, if you already wear nuno felted accessories, it can be a great opportunity for you to extend your collection and make it more versatile. With this textured cowl scarf, you can enjoy a boutique desing and artistic look at the same time.

How to care about this neck warmer
Due to its antistatic properties wool does not absorb dirt and dust easily. Therefore it does not have to be cleaned as often as other materials. However, if your neck warmer gets dirty, you can dry clean or hand wash it. I will include detailed washing instructions with your order.

Take a look behind the scenes!
Wet felting is just rubbing wool fibers with your own hands. You had better go to the gym and exercise your muscles before you even start! Nothing can help more than strong arms.
These small bits of wool are delicate and ephemeral like snowflakes. They are just perfect to use with handmade felt as a substitute for glitter and sequins which are applied to other fabrics.
Take a deep breath before you take one of them into your hand. With tiny barbs on their edges felting needles are smart and dangerous tools for tangling fibers in the most laborious way possible.
They are all natural silk fibers obtained from the cocoons of silkworms feeding on mulberry leaves. They look like fiber lightnings that reflect sunbeams.
