Ethnic Ladder Bracelet with Cuff Made of Long Felted Beads

‹Return to Previous Page

Ladder bracelet

This ladder bracelet consists of natural felted beads and the best thing about it is that you can choose their color by yourself! Each bead or rung is made separately and consists of superfine merino wool. It makes this bracelet very nice in touch and friendly to the skin. Beads are quite long, so the cuff is pretty wide and has a beautiful ethnic look. At the same time it is very lightweight, so you will barely feel it on your wrist.

The design of this ladder bracelet is really unique. It will attract attention and highlight your natural beauty whenever you wear it. Its style can range from playful to romantic, gothic or elegant. It depends on the color you choose. Look at my color chart and adjust this bracelet to your own style, personality and clothes you already have. You can also select your own hand size to make this cuff a perfect match with your wrist. The way you should measure your hand is shown in the picture. Just in case the bracelet you ordered is too small, I attach a few centimeters of jewelry chain. Fasten the clasp to one of its links to make the cuff more loose.

Width of the cuff: 7 cm (2.8 in)
Bracelet weight: 15 g (0.03 lb)

Washing Instructions

How to care about felted handicraft

Merino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):

  • Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
  • Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
  • After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
  • Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
  • Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
  • If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

Wool yarns on a mossy birch
Wool yarn

Wool yarn – if shaggy enough – can be interwoven with merino fibers. Since it fits in perfectly with felt, it is one of my most favourite decorations.

These small knots of wool are ephemeral and beautiful like a snowflakes. They are a perfect for handmade felt replacing glitter or sequins applied for other fabrics.

Colorful linen fibres standing in line
Linen fibers

They are natural fibers collected from flax plants. Although they are thicker than silk fibers, they also look pretty cool on felted background.

Take a deep breath before you take it in your hand. With its hooked barbs felting needle is a smart and dangerous tool for tangling fibers in the most laborious possible way.
