Description

Description

Large felt bag with meadow theme and beautiful poppy flowers on its front side. This designer shoulder bag is made of natural merino wool in fresh green, yellow, red and black and finished with golden thread and glass beads. It is very large and pretty massive – perfect, if you like to take everything with you. This poppy bag has no seams, because it was hand felted around the template. It is lined with a cotton fabric in dark raspberry color. The lining is equipped with two pockets and a zipper. It was sewn into the bag manually, so that its stitching is not visible from the outside. The straps of this poppy bag are made of two felted ropes, which are pretty strong. This bag is durable, comfortable, practical, yet it is very large. In the same time, with its flower pattern, it is really fresh and beautiful!

Washing Instructions

How to care about felted handicraft

Merino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):

  • Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
  • Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
  • After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
  • Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
  • Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
  • If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

Wool nepps

These small bits of wool are delicate and ephemeral like snowflakes. They are just perfect to use with handmade felt as a substitute for glitter and sequins which are applied to other fabrics.

Watering can

In wet felting process you use some water to make wool fibers wet. With this watering can I am able to pour it quickly and efficiently.

Take a deep breath before you take one of them into your hand. With tiny barbs on their edges felting needles are smart and dangerous tools for tangling fibers in the most laborious way possible.

This technique is pretty similar to wet felting but items you create are more lightweight. You can make nuno felt using silk, linen or other fabric with open weave – just remember to make a mess!
