Description

Felt branch necklace

This felt branch necklace looks like a piece of forest. It has many green leaves and nice yellow flower. The leaves look like they were real and move freely like on a tree. The flower on the other hand is a brooch. It has a jewelry pin on its back, so you can place it anywhere you want. It will help you to arrange this twig necklace and make it even more attractive. The necklace itself is very long and has no clasp. You simply need to tie it around your neck and adjust it a little bit. This way you can wear it just as you want, with felted leaves on your shoulders or on your chest.

I make this green leaf necklace in felting technique. It consists of soft merino wool and mulberry silk fibers. Natural materials and realistic shape make it a lovely piece of nature jewelry. This felt branch necklace will be perfect for women who love to accessorize with green. Every time you wear it, it will turn the urban jungle around you into green forest and give you a woodland style.

Necklace length: 150 cm (59.1 in)
Flower diameter: 10 cm (3.9 in)
Necklace weight: 70 g (0.15 lb)

Washing Instructions

How to care about felted handicraft

Merino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):

  • Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
  • Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
  • After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
  • Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
  • Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
  • If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

They are all natural silk fibers obtained from the cocoons of silkworms feeding on mulberry leaves. They look like fiber lightnings that reflect sunbeams.

They are natural fibers collected from flax plants. Although they are thicker than silk fibers, they also look pretty cool on felted background.

Take a deep breath before you take it in your hand. With its hooked barbs felting needle is a smart and dangerous tool for tangling fibers in the most laborious possible way.

Pieces of natural silk fabric make my scarves more lightweight and balanced. They also add a hint of uniqueness to some of my necklaces and brooches.
