Felt Shoulder Bag in Turquoise & Brown with Designer Flower

‹Return to Previous Page
Description

Description

This felt shoulder bag is really unique. It is made in wet felting technique and consists of hand dyed merino wool in beautiful brown and turquoise tones. It has 3D front side with two felt layers and kind of mesh. The brown layer is decorated with white silk fibers. Long strap of this designer bag is made of a strong felt rope. It is finished with a spring flower on its one end and with a green and yellow branching on the other. The bag itself is made without any seams around the template, which makes it even more special. It has a modern look and is lined with a cotton fabric (the fabric has a sweet flower pattern). Lining of this felt shoulder bag has a zipper and one pocket. It was sewn into manually to hide the stitching.

As you can see, this designer bag is very practical, beautiful and just perfect for spring and summer. It is very durable and high quality, so it will stay with you for a long time. If you like handicraft, flowers and blue and brown tones, you are going to love it!

Washing Instructions

How to care about felted handicraft

Merino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):

  • Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
  • Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
  • After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
  • Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
  • Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
  • If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

Thanks to its metal head with strainer, bulb sprinkler allows me to spray water onto my works in a controlled way, so that I do not flood my neighbours.

Needle felting is the most laborious and the most precise way of making felt. It is used whenever one works on a detail and wants to control the wool down to the smallest fiber.

This technique is pretty similar to wet felting but items you create are more lightweight. You can make nuno felt using silk, linen or other fabric with open weave – just remember to make a mess!
