Felted Crochet Necklace with Chunky Multistrand Design

‹Return to Previous Page

Felted crochet necklace

This felted crochet necklace consists of soft merino wool and I will make it in one or two colors of your choice. Thanks to natural wool fibers, it is eco-friendly. At the same time it is very soft and breathable, so you can wear it throughout all seasons except hot summers. I make this neck braid in wet felting and crocheting techniques. It has multistrand design and runs close to the neck, but I attach a short chain extender, so that it fits all sizes.

This felted crochet necklace is not so decorative. It is simple and this is what makes it special. With its chunky braided design, it will be perfect for women and girls who love folk style. Its customizable colors will let you match it with your clothes and style, so if you know what colors you look great in, make use of it. This piece of felt jewelry will give you much joy and connect you with nature.

Choose one or two colors and select them on drop-down lists. I will make this necklace for you and ship it as soon as possible.

Necklace circumference (without extender): 52 cm (20.5 in)
Extender length: 5 cm (2 in)
Necklace weight: 35 g (0.08 lb)

Washing Instructions

How to care about felted handicraft

Merino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):

  • Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
  • Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
  • After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
  • Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
  • Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
  • If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

Colorful linen fibres standing in line
Linen fibers

They are natural fibers collected from flax plants. Although they are thicker than silk fibers, they also look pretty cool on felted background.

Our favourite watering can for wet felting
Watering can

In wet felting process you use some water to make wool fibers wet. With this watering can I am able to pour it quickly and efficiently.

Pieces of natural silk fabric make my scarves more lightweight and balanced. They also add a hint of uniqueness to some of my necklaces and brooches.
