Felted Fall Scarf with Copper Flowers Made of Merino Wool & Silk Chiffon

Description

Description

This felted fall scarf is a beautiful handmade accessory. I make it in nuno felting technique, mixing cozy merino wool and natural silk chiffon. This makes the scarf breathable and very easy to wear. I recommend it especially for autumn because of its colors. Its silk background is gray and I cover it with gray, brown, apricot and copper merino. I also add a bit of brown silk fibers to make it look more artistic. All these colors play well together and two copper flowers are the strongest accent of this autumn scarf.

The size of this accessory makes it an ideal complement to the outfit. It is not too big but still very impressive. You can wrap it twice around the neck placing flowers on your shoulders or above your breasts. You can also wrap it just once around the neck and have its both ends hanging over your waist. Of course, there are many other ways of tying this scarf and all are good if make you feel good. This felted fall scarf is very durable and will stay with you for many seasons. In the same time it is very soft and gives you a real joy of wearing natural and eco-friendly accessory. If you love its colors it will be a perfect choice for you.

Care Instructions

How to care about this scarf

Due to its antistatic properties wool does not absorb dirt and dust easily. Therefore it does not have to be cleaned as often as other materials. However, if your scarf gets dirty, you can dry clean or hand wash it. I will include detailed washing instructions with your order.

Thanks to its metal head with strainer, bulb sprinkler allows me to spray water onto my works in a controlled way, so that I do not flood my neighbours.

They are natural fibers collected from flax plants. Although they are thicker than silk fibers, they also look pretty cool on felted background.

This technique is pretty similar to wet felting but items you create are more lightweight. You can make nuno felt using silk, linen or other fabric with open weave – just remember to make a mess!
