Description

Green leaf neck warmer for elven queen

I designed this leaf neck warmer for all fairies, pixies and elven queens of the world. It has an amazing woodland style with leaf shaped edges and lemon print in the middle. You can wear it to give yourself magical look, but you can also use it as a part of a cosplay costume. It will give a last perfect touch to every character that lives in the forest.

I make this green leaf scarf in nuno felting technique. It consists of natural materials: soft merino wool, silk fabric and shiny silk fibers. The fabric has a nice pattern with lemons. It gives the scarf a bit of contrasting tones, like yellow, orange and black. It also makes this leaf neck warmer lightweight and breathable. With such a composition, you can wear this forest collar form autumn to spring. It will make you warm and prevent overheating at the same time. To help you wrap it arround your neck, I accessorize it with a small felted pin like in the pictures.

So, whether you are going to reconstruct some fairy tale scenes or whether you always dreamt of looking like a pixie, you have just found what you were looking for! This cosplay scarf will not only heat you. It will also take you to the magic land where forest creatures live.

Scarf length: 67 cm (26.4 in)
Scarf width: 30 cm (11.8 in)
Weight: 55 g (0.12 lb)

Washing Instructions

How to care about felted handicraft

Merino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):

  • Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
  • Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
  • After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
  • Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
  • Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
  • If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

Take a deep breath before you take it in your hand. With its hooked barbs felting needle is a smart and dangerous tool for tangling fibers in the most laborious possible way.
