Red jewelry box
This red jewelry box has kawaii style and sweet taste. It is perfect for joyful women and girls and with its apple shape it looks really cute. You can keep your jewelry inside or use this box as a funny trinket holder, especially if your little things are out of control. And the best part of this is that if you put this felted apple on your shelf or dresser, it will give a magical look to your room.
I make this fruit jewelry box by hand. It is felted of soft merino wool, which makes it natural and environmentally friendly. Each piece is slightly different, but every box has round shape and a lovely cover with green leaf. You can buy this jewellery storage in one of three sizes (small, medium or large). The smallest dish is designed to store e.g. rings, pins and watches, whereas the biggest bowl will accommodate necklaces, pendants and bracelets. In the pictures you can compare all three sizes with my hand and with the same pair of earrings. As you can see, this red jewelry box looks just delicious and it will seduce you until you try it. But don’t worry! It is good and it is not forbidden to have one or even a few!

How to care about felted handicraftMerino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):
- Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
- Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
- After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
- Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
- Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
- If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

Take a look behind the scenes!
These small bits of wool are delicate and ephemeral like snowflakes. They are just perfect to use with handmade felt as a substitute for glitter and sequins which are applied to other fabrics.
This technique is pretty similar to wet felting but items you create are more lightweight. You can make nuno felt using silk, linen or other fabric with open weave – just remember to make a mess!
Take a deep breath before you take one of them into your hand. With tiny barbs on their edges felting needles are smart and dangerous tools for tangling fibers in the most laborious way possible.
Pieces of natural silk fabric make my scarves more lightweight and balanced. They also add a hint of uniqueness to some of my necklaces and brooches.
