Sky blue neck warmer with insect pattern

This sky blue neck warmer is perfect for women and girls, who love natural accessories and want to have something unique in their wardrobes. I make it by hand of superfine merino wool and silk fabric. I combine these two materials in nuno felting technique. Silk that I use as a base has a whimsical pattern with many butterflies, bugs, spiders and flies. It is in kind of a conflict with the romantic blue color and will highlight your rebellious nature. The pattern is not so visible at the first glance but becomes clear at a closer look. To further disguise it, I equip this neck wrap with an ethereal butterfly brooch. It will help you to arrange this felted collar on your neck, but you can also pin it in any other place if you want.

This sky blue neck warmer consists of natural materials (merino wool, silk fabric, mulberry silk fibers), so it is skin friendly and breathable. It will keep you warm and make you feel comfortable every time you wear it. It is very durable and can be washed, so it will stay with you for long. You can wear this scarf from autumn to spring depending on the weather. With its lovely blue color it will reflect your femininity, whereas its insect pattern will make you feel compatible with nature in a playful way.

Scarf length: 63 cm (24.8 in)
Scarf width: 19 cm (7.5 in)
Butterfly diameter: 10 cm (3.9 in)
Weight: 45 g (0.1 lb)

Washing Instructions

How to care about felted handicraft

Merino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):

  • Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
  • Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
  • After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
  • Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
  • Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
  • If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.
