This Viking figurine is a home decor statue or collectible doll. It will be perfect for adults and older boys. I created it especially for all enthusiasts of Viking Age and fans of the popular TV series, but it will be also a great Veterans Day gift for men. You can put this standing Norse decoration on a shelf or desk. This felt ornament will give an expressive and personal look to your interiors.
I make this Viking figurine by hand in felting technique with great attention to details. It consists of soft merino wool and is decorated with a bit of cotton thread and linen twine. Its base is stuffed, which makes the figure stable. I fixed each prop of this Viking warrior, so you can be sure that he will not lose it even during a battle.
This Viking has an impressive rust beard with mustache and two braids. His head is protected with fearsome helmet with two horns on its both sides (this barbarian headpiece is made in needle felting technique). Arms of this Viking warrior are covered with a gray jagged cape. He has a copper belt with a very long sword which is a deadly weapon against his all enemies. He is holding a large round shield in his left hand though he does not feel any fear.
This Norse warrior has just one dream – to die on the battlefield and sit at the same table with Odin in Valhalla. If you decide to invite him to your home, he will bring with him the spirits of toughest Viking warriors, like Ragnar, Ivar, Erik and Bjorn. They will protect your place with dignity and honor.

How to care about felted handicraftMerino does not need to be washed as often as other types of wool. However, you may want to refresh it from time to time. Felted accessories and jewelry keep their colors and shape if hand washed gently in warm water. Here is a detailed instruction on how to care about them (we enclose it in every shipment as well):
- Wash your felt handicraft manually at about 30 Celsjus degrees using washing agents for wool.
- Dip them gently, but do not rub - otherwise they may shrink or deform.
- After washing, rinse your felt item with water of the same temperature, preferably with a rinsing liquid for wool.
- Do not wring or twist felt - remove the excess water with your hands using a towel.
- Spread out washed accessories on a towel to let them dry.
- If necessary iron your felt item using 'wool' mode or applying a low temperature.

Take a look behind the scenes
Take a deep breath before you take it in your hand. With its hooked barbs felting needle is a smart and dangerous tool for tangling fibers in the most laborious possible way.
These small knots of wool are ephemeral and beautiful like a snowflakes. They are a perfect for handmade felt replacing glitter or sequins applied for other fabrics.
They are bast fibers collected from the phloem or inner-bark of flax plants. Although linen fibers are thicker than silk ones, they look amazing on felted background.
Delicate wool fibers and our hands need to be protected with a soap made of natural olive oils. It makes our products longer lasting and skin-friendly.
